New Mini-PABX for Small Business
February 2007 we introduced the new UD-1016-Mini
Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) for small to
medium business. This can have up to 10 lines and comes
equipped for 16 extensions and includes 4 x Display
'phones. It is identical to the full-size UD-F 1016
except the case is not as high, meaning there is less
room for major expansion cards, but still has more than
most 16-extension businesses need anyway. The price (RRP)
is an incredible $999 including GST

New All-in-One for Point-of-Sale
The new All-in-One Point-of-Sale units can now
carry 2.8GHz processors, making them 2 1/2 times more
powerful than normal POS terminals. All come with 5-Wire
resistive Touch Screens, at prices far more affordable
then ever before. These units save valuable desk space
and avoid the over-heating problems of having a computer
under the counter; meaning better reliability and less
maintenance.

Quality Control
All products are carefully examined prior to
selection as a product line. We insist on "Value"
and reliability from our factories. Quality control
is assured through the certification processes to meet
European standards. Where possible and where the feature
allows the price to remain acceptable, we insist on
RoHS compliance on top of our minimum requirement of
European Compliance (EC) certification.

PoS and RoHS
Point of Sale products are moving towards RoHS
compliance, and while some items are effected by the
additional costs, some are still very reasonable. We
will continue to choose on "Value and reliability"
for your enjoyment. For example, the new All-in-One
POS Touch Unit has been upgraded to contain a auto-switching
RoHS power supply at no additional cost to you. The
introduction of dual-core processors will eventually
effect the POS market, but for now that is a long way
off due to the different nature of the needs for POS.
All our associates work with us closely and report any
issues that we should be changes or replaced, ensuring
you of the very best service at all times.

Why RoHS?
RoHS stands for "Reduction of Hazardous
Substances" and manufacturers have to meet very
strict guidelines if they want to sell their products
within the European Common Market. This is a very ambitious
and environmentally friendly approach to the mass-producing
world we live in, and should be commended. Printed Circuit
Boards (PCB's) can no longer use Lead Solder or any
other hazardous material when being produced. It has
made life difficult for many irresponsible multi-nationals
that don't care about hazardous waste, but the fact
they can not sell to Europe is forcing them to change
their attitudes. Link
